Before this visit, I had never been to an orphanage. I was worried that I couldn't deal with them as I am not really into kids. Unexpectedly, It turned out well. I could say it was a vulnerable experience. When we entered the orphanage, I could see the excitement in their eyes, like they were looking forward to what we were carrying on. Regretfully, we didn't carefully look into how many children are there, resulting in some of the children who couldn't join the activities. I could see disappointed in their eyes when they were asked to leave the team. At the moment, I felt it was really cruel to ruin their anticipation. Throughout the interaction with the children, I found that they are like normal kids, they don't react differently because they are orphans. I believe that the principle and the staff there love the children a lot, children that are beloved under such a good environment can grow up well too. Volunteering in an orphanage can really change the human mind. This activity changed my worldview, material, and spiritual values. I get to know about the structure of society and its inequality. I also get to think that how the life of the majority of people got affected when society is irresponsible. Volunteering is a good chance to develop my personality, I would definitely volunteer again if I got the chance.
