I am very grateful for your guidance and assistance with my first semester in university. Throughout the semester, you provided us with detailed instructions, proper supervision, constructive feedbacks, and warm encouragements. Thank you for making the lesson relevant. Your lessons were so much easier to remember as you would show us some famous buildings constructed around the world, and made us at least had an idea about what we learning. Through this project, I had learnt various types of building materials that is being used in the current construction practice, what makes the designer decide what kind of building materials is used based on the properties of these materials, a better understanding on the physical and chemical properties of the building materials in the building and also the standard construction names and also terminologies for materials in a space.
I also learned the understanding of different building materials which affects the tactile and chemical properties of the design and building, how different building materials will affect the occupancy, aesthetics and structural qualities of the space of a building and also how to produce drawings to visualize the architectural effects of proposed materials.
I now understand the appropriateness of material used in context several factors occupancy, concept, climate. Lastly, I am able to produce a complete documentation and analysis of materials with respect to physical and chemical properties.
